circle of friends

there's something so special about being a part of a sweet sisterhood. good times, meaningful conversations, big laughs, inspiration and supporting one another in this interesting game called life. i know i can always depend on my girls but i never really knew to the full extent of how important they are. they pick me up when i have fallen, they make me laugh when i so want to cry, give me strength when i feel like i'm going to crumble and inspire me to do great things. i can't imagine what my life would be like without them and that's why i want to pay homage to each one of you ...

the new man in my life

mr mooks is what i typically call him but his full name is mookie blaylock. back when i was in university i had always wanted an english bulldog. at the time, mookie blaylock was a highly regarded nba player and i thought it would be a perfect name for a little critter. interestingly enough, i found out that there's a connection to mookie blaylock and pearl jam. see wikipedia link - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mookie_Blaylock . though he snores quite often and i have to clean deep within his wrinkly folds on a daily basis, i adore this little creature like no other. you'd be amazed to know how much joy he has brought into my life during this interesting transition.
